"All Tommorow's Jokes": The Future of Comedy at the Hemlock Tavern

Bay Area comedy lovers know that laughs on stage can come from more than just a pasty man in a turqoise sportcoat, standing in front of a brick wall. For these fans of "alternative" comedy, SF Sketchfest, The Sound of Young America, and Club Chuckles have created "All Tommorow's Jokes," Friday May 13th at the Hemlock Tavern. The show is a multi-style extravaganza featuring standup, sketch, and music from the Bay Area and beyond, at a price well below the comedy-club norm -- just $7, with no drink minimum.

Featured acts include:

Jasper Redd
In the past two years, Jasper Redd has earned a reputation as San Francisco's funniest young standup. The 25-year-old Tennessee native has traveled from janitorial roots to a full-time career on stage. He was recently featured on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," and his unique style has been featured at all three of the now-legendary 826 Valencia comedy benefits.

Prank the Dean
15 months ago, Prank the Dean were four dissafected youths, most likely headed to juvenile delinquency and a life of petty crime. Today, they're San Francisco's hottest new sketch comedy group. How did they do it? Hard work, discipline, and respect for their elders. Today, they're proud to have been featured at the 2005 SF Sketchfest, where they were called "delightfully hilarious" by Pat Craig of the Contra Costa Times, and "hilarious from the start" by the Stanford Daily.

Brent Weinbach
Brent Weinbach has crafted a unique niche in the Bay Area standup comedy firmament. His distinctive performance style recalls a Joe Frank radio program or the great Andy Kaufman more than it does Jerry Seinfeld or Robin Williams. He has been featured at comedy clubs across California, and regularly performs with "The Brainwash All-Stars," a group of young comics who have sold out many Monday nights at the Punchline.

and your host... Jordan Morris
Jordan Morris has made his name by writing the kind of surprising, left-field jokes that are heard all too rarely in traditional comedy clubs. He's performed at clubs and alternative comedy rooms across the Southland, and is making his Bay Area debut.
