Watch The Sound of Young America Live, Live! Friday night we've got a show scheduled for WNYC's Greene Performance Space in New York City. We'll have old friends like Andrew WK and Nellie McKay on hand, along with new ones like Scott Adsit and Kumail Nanjiani. There's good news and bad news about this show. The bad news is, it's sold out. The good news is: you can watch it live on the internet! WNYC's state of the art performance studio has a full compliment of cameras and streaming equipment, so mark your calendar for 8PM Eastern on Friday night! You'll be able to find the show at maximumfun.org, wnyc.org and on the Greene Space site at http://www.thegreenespace.org/thegreenespace/events/2009/sep/18/sound-young-america-jesse-thorn/ . Tickets Still Available for Philadelphia TSOYA There are still a few tickets available for Wednesday night's Sound of Young America Live! show at the Philly Fringe Festival. We've got way cool guests like comedian Kent Haines, comics author Charles Burns, the director of the Mutter Museum and The Spinto Band performing a rare live acoustic set. You can buy your tickets at http://tinyurl.com/tsoyaphilly . Put This On Adam Lisagor and I had a deluge of support for our new web pilot Put This On. We raised all the money we need for equipment and pay, and we're shooting at the end of the month. We can't say exactly when it'll premier (it's a pilot, after all, we may eff the whole thing up), but probably sometime in October. In the meantime, follow us on Twitter @putthison - http://www.twitter.com/putthison Special Kasper Hauser episode of TSOYA We were very lucky to record a special hour-long Sound of Young America broadcast with our friends Kasper Hauser. It features never-before-heard sketch material and an extensive issue with James, Dan and Rob. You can listen to it here: http://tinyurl.com/khspecial , and if you're in San Francisco, check out Kasper Hauser at Comedy Day in Golden Gate Park on Sunday! http://www.comedyday.com/ Something's Happening This Winter! We've got a special partnership coming next month, and hopefully it'll help you with your Christmas shopping. Keep your eyes peeled and save up some money. Your pal, Jesse
